Roy R. (Jack) Fisher, Jr.

Still going strong, Jack celebrated his 87th birthday on March 25, 2010. Far from retired, he works part time at Affordable
Automotive in Celina, Texas and is a retired General Real Estate Appraiser. He and Joyce, his wife of 64 1/2 years and
the "Bride" of the book, moved to Celina, TX, in 1996, and it was substitute teaching in the Celina schools which
really released the stories and gave start to this book. Since publication in 2003, they have made numerous trips around the
country and their neighborhood of Dallas, TX talking to kids about WWII and the book. Joyce also loved to talk to folks
on their many trips until she passed away in January, 2009.
Of his seven daughters he says, "When you find something you're good at, Specialize!" They have blessed him with 25
grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. He still is involved in their church, First United Methodist Church of
Celina, serving on various committees and singing in the choir.
